Breakfast is served at our next-door neighbor's coffee house Ásmundasalur.

The creative arts museum is a wonderful place to start each morning with a delicious breakfast plate and a cup of Joe.


Guests receive a voucher that can be used at Reykjavík Roasters Ásmundasalur during breakfast hours.

Bike Rental

Freyja Guesthouse offers bikes for rent exclusively for guests at the Guesthouse.

Bikes are free for guests to use. Bikes include a lock, secure helmet, and are fully equipped from the bicycle store Kría.

​

If you are interested in renting a bike during your stay come by our reception and we will help you get set up with a bike.

​

Note: Bike rental is not available during winter. Due to weather conditions in Reykjavík.

About Us

We are a Family run guesthouse in the heart of Reykjavik city. Located next to the beautiful church, Hallgrímskirkja, the highest point of Reykjavik. Equipped with full size kitchen for the guests to use as they wish along with a beautiful lounge area. The Guesthouse is located in a quiet street - yet only a few steps away from the local shopping street Skólavörðustígur.

Freyja Guesthouse is conveniently situated a minute away from Bus Stop 8 - Hallgrímskirkja which gives you an easy access to tours and activities offered in Iceland.

We are also lucky to be located only 500m away from the oldest public swimming pool in Iceland - Sundhöll Reykjavíkur. There you can swim both indoors and outdoors - try out several hot tubs, sauna or ice baths. The pool was renovated in 2018.


Check in time starts at 2 pm and is until 6 pm.

Check out is until 11:30 am.

If you arrive after 6 pm we offer self service check in!


All of the rooms have access to fully equipped kitchen.
